All courses are offered on weekends or across 2 - 3 weekdays.
Dramasol, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed creative arts therapists #CAT-0124.

Foundations of the ENACT Drama Therapy Method

Course Description: This course is a foundation for the ENACT Drama Therapy Method. It demonstrates an overview of the method and the key therapeutic concepts as described in Feldman’s book, “Stuck in a Role: Releasing Trauma in Teens through the ENACT Drama Therapy Method.” It teaches the fundamental principles of adolescent development and how challenging behaviors can be understood as responses to trauma. There is a focus on developmental trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).
Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn to understand various teen behaviors with the underlying cause rooted in trauma
Participants will understand developmental trauma
Participants learn to view defenses as roles

Developmental Theater Games, Level 1

Course Description: Rooted in developmental psychology, drama therapy, and improvisation, these games foster emotional regulation, social connection, and authentic self-expression. You’ll learn how to use ENACT’s three-level evidence-based method to build group cohesion, use it as an assessment tool, and address dysregulated behavior.
Learning Objectives:
Develop skills in facilitating embodied and improvisational activities to assess and support clients’ emotional expression and self-awareness
Learn to ensure safety and inclusivity while using theater-based methods
Learn ENACT three-level theater games to adapt activities to participants’ emotional readiness

Course Description: This advanced class is designed for practitioners’ foundational experience and builds on Level 1. This will deepen your practice for working with trauma and emotional complexity. You will learn specific games designed to safely engage participants who may experience strong emotional reactions, triggers or trauma responses during the process.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn to recognize signs of dysregulation, create containment, and skillfully support individuals to return to a sense of safety
Participants will learn specific games to strengthen boundaries and help clients to emotionally regulate
Participants will learn to build an inclusive and healing space

The Roles Adolescents Play: Understanding Identity, Expression, and Connection

Course Description: Based on Diana Feldman’s book “Stuck in a Role: Releasing Trauma in Teens,” this class invites practitioners and youth workers to explore the complex and evolving roles, such as The Bully and The Victim, that adolescents inhabit as they navigate emotions, peer pressure and trauma. It offers a new lens for observing and addressing behavior.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will identify common roles that youth adopt and understand their underlying psychological and social needs
Participants will understand “protective roles“ as a defense against inner turmoil and trauma
Participants will understand ENACT’s drama therapy techniques for helping youth break out of maladaptive roles and build authenticity, self-awareness, and resilience
Price: $225.00 on Zoom / $265 in person

Certificate Training: Level 1 (Covers core ENACT principles and practices)
60 hours, blended learning: Mostly in person, with some online sessions.
One weekend per month. 5 weekend modules, 7 hours a day, plus supervision.

Outcome: Level 1 ENACT Certificate, signifying you’ve acquired foundational proficiency and can begin practicing in groups.
Course Description: For those of you who are ready to take this work to the next level — whether to integrate into your practice or become a certified facilitator — join our comprehensive 60-hour in-person certification program. It runs over 5 months, with one intensive weekend a month designed to fit your life and schedule. This immersive program is designed to take you from foundational skills to advanced, embodied mastery. It teaches ENACT Role Play and Facilitation and includes guided supervision, and in-depth personal transformation work.
Up to 12 hours of Introductory courses may be applied.
Price: $2500. Flexible payment plans to fit your budget. Early bird special (save $300): Register by December 15th and lock in your rate. Maximum number of students: 16.

Prerequisites: None
Practitioner Certification Program
120 hours. (The 60-hour training can be fully applied towards the 120-hour certification).
Designed to prepare participants to facilitate sessions professionally. This includes all foundational content plus extensive experiential practice, including supervision required for certification, and may include components like mentorship, peer coaching, case presentations, and assignments. Builds on the foundational Level 1 60-hour program with additional training in experiential, theoretical, and clinical components. Includes special guest instructors. There will be a section on developing and marketing programs. Inquire about the full practitioner certification program.
Outcome: You will be recognized as a full ENACT practitioner and listed on our website. Limited number of spots (interviews required).

Prerequisites: A background in psychotherapy, creative arts therapy, arts education, or related fields. An interview and/or written application may be required.

We reserve the right to postpone or adjust training dates if unforeseen circumstances arise, including group size. Participants will be notified well in advance. If the course is cancelled by the organizer, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel on your end, you will receive:
